                       map coming soon

HARES   3 Dogs Fucking, U-Suck It, I'll Sell It & Do Me At the Dome have planned a scenic ride up on a train and an exciting ride down a raging river (just ask Do Me if you don't believe me) in tubes .  The only running involved will be up the beach to restock your beer supply for the next section of light rapids.  There will be a a usual hash finish snack stop along the way with several beer stops to restock your tubes.  There may even be a hash oriented slalom course for prizes .  You don't want to miss the 1st annual tubing run of the IWSH3 in honor of our 8th birthday.  There will be copious amounts of beer (and wine) to drink, cool water to refresh in and enough fast water to get even the most lethargic of hearts a pumping.  We'll finish down river at the Kintai in time to catch the fireworks display (held in our honor).  This has been months in the planning,  an event you won't want to miss so make sure to RSVP or you will.

RU?   YOU MUST RSVP by 8/23 midnight ON ON Click here if planning on coming & send BT ŽOClick here if you can't make it & send.  We need to get a head count

COST \350 for the train ride up (try to bring exact change or coins as getting change is a pain)

$20 or \2400 for the tubing run and dinner at finish (due to the extended nature of the event

and the copious amounts of beer we will consume when no one has to drive home and we have)

ON ON ON:  BBQ & Yucca swigging at the Kintai for the fireworks show,  Yes, that's right Iwakuni loves us so much that they are holding over an hour of fireworks to celebrate our 8th analversary.  Bring a

EXTRA INFO: Bring Your Own Tube / Float / Boogie board/ floatation device to float down the river on.  The Hash has tried to locate tubes, (and may still yet, but don't count on it) but as it stands it is BYOT come without... and you will be SOL... floating down with your body.

  Things to bring:

bullet

tube/float/boogie board/floatation device (the few tubes already acquired by the hash will be distributed on a 1st RSVP 1st served basis)

bullet

shoes or sandals (should strap around your ankles otherwise you will lose them) to wear in the river

bullet

a towel

bullet

bathing suit

bullet

a bag for finish (clothes to change into at finish, happi coat, mug and haberdashery, headband, etc.)

  Optional Items

bullet

sunscreen (preferably waterproof since you will be in the water the whole time)

bullet

goggles (to see the pretty river bottom)

bullet

net bag (to hold some extra beverages so you don't have to catch up with the canoe, also to hold you empties)

bullet

squirt guns (to shoot your fellow tubers with)

bullet

a carabineer & some light rope (to clip and tie stuff to your tube, like your net bag or squirt gun)

bullet

a tent and sleeping gear (the Kintai area will be closed off from traffic until 11:00 at night, you will be drinking all day, swilling Yucca in the evening, there is no need to drive any where as we can camp out right where we party

Notes:

bullet

Eat a big breakfast as while we will be providing a Snack Break halfway down the river there is no formal lunch planned, you can pack a bag lunch but you are own your own to keep it from getting wet ( a very difficult task unless you have professional dry seal bags) If there is room in the dry seal bags we'll store it for you but again your lunch is a low priority and we won't be held responsible to keep it from getting crushed or wet so you have been forewarned

bullet

Bags for finish (& camping equipment) need to be dropped off that morning at the Kintai no later than 9:00 otherwise their will be no guarantee that they will be secure.  Car will locked promptly at 9:00.

bullet

Keep In Mind the 2 Golden Rules of running rivers.
bullet

1.) DON'T BRING ANYTHING YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO GET WET

bullet

2.) DON'T BRING ANYTHING YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO LOSE

Chances are it will get wet and you will lose it, so, cell phones, expensive sunglasses, watches, or car keys should be secured with your finish supplies.  While there will be 2 large professional dry seal bags to put stuff you may want on the river such as towel or t-shirt, or cigarettes or cigars for when we take breaks , if you must bring something that can't get wet like a cell phone or cigarettes -- triple freezer zip loc bag it, and we'll put it in the dry bags but the hash holds no responsibility if it does get wet.

bullet

Parking for the start is \500 so if possible carpool

bullet

Access to Kintai where we'll be, will literally be cut off from 16:00 to 23:00 so if you have to be somewhere between these times plan accordingly as there will be no car runs made until after 23:00 (and that is assuming there is some one sober enough to drive, though start is only 3km away and can be walked in  a pinch)
