Notes:
Eat a big breakfast as while we will be providing a Snack Break halfway down the river there is no formal lunch planned, you can pack a bag lunch but you are own your own to keep it from getting wet ( a very difficult task unless you have professional dry seal bags) If there is room in the dry seal bags we'll store it for you but again your lunch is a low priority and we won't be held responsible to keep it from getting crushed or wet so you have been forewarned
Bags for finish (& camping equipment) need to be dropped off that morning at the Kintai no later than 9:00 otherwise their will be no guarantee that they will be secure. Car will locked promptly at 9:00.
Keep In Mind the 2 Golden Rules of running rivers.
Chances are it will get wet and you will lose it, so, cell phones, expensive sunglasses, watches, or car keys should be secured with your finish supplies. While there will be 2 large professional dry seal bags to put stuff you may want on the river such as towel or t-shirt, or cigarettes or cigars for when we take breaks , if you must bring something that can't get wet like a cell phone or cigarettes -- triple freezer zip loc bag it, and we'll put it in the dry bags but the hash holds no responsibility if it does get wet.
Parking for the start is \500 so if possible carpool
Access to Kintai where we'll be, will literally be cut off from 16:00 to 23:00 so if you have to be somewhere between these times plan accordingly as there will be no car runs made until after 23:00 (and that is assuming there is some one sober enough to drive, though start is only 3km away and can be walked in a pinch) |
